About Jordyn

At the roots, I am an avid creator and competitor. Agility is an art, and my creative eye helps me read the game in new ways. My agility journey started in 2014 when I was 12 years old.

I trained on my own from 2014-2016, using flower pots and sticks to make jumps and old pieces of plywood to make a table. In late 2016 I made my way to Pawprints Agility Club where I saw real equipment for the first time. Three months later, in February 2017, Bentli and I made our competitive debut in USDAA agility.

Today, I am a national competitor and have competed heavily in USDAA, UKI, and AKC agility since I was 14 years old. I train using Positive Reinforcement methods and believe in providing clear instruction while prioritizing the fun of training for both dog and handler. As an instructor, I have picked up a reputation for enjoying the ‘Difficult’ dogs – I have a soft spot for the types of dogs who need more from their handlers than just well timed cues and handling. This specialty stems from Bentli, my talented yet challenging terrier mix who I’ve dedicated the last eight years to understanding. I’m an adamant believer that you do not need to own the fastest dog to achieve success, especially when you know how to work towards your dog’s strengths on a course.

I currently attend the University of Southern Maine as a Political Science and Communications double major. I love learning about canine behavior and actively use that knowledge to create the best training experience for every team I work with. Outside of college and Glorious Agility, I spend my free time hiking, building my own training knowledge, and training my own dogs.
